Photoshoot 01 - Constructing
For this photoshoot I focused on the process of construction.
Description is bellow the image. Click on image to see it full screen.

I chose this image as I think the frame within a frame composition creates an interesting narrative conveying the background process of constructing. The harsh monochromatic tones of sky and the iron bars contrasts the bright orange digger. This emphasises the process of construction and the hard machinery used to create beautiful buildings.

I like this image as I think the trees in the background contrast the harsh textures of the concrete and the bright neon orange of the ladder. This creates the idea that nature is being overtaken by harsh and brutal modern-day structures. The orange ladder represents the process of building with the classic connotations of construction sites. This allows me to convey to the viewer how the process of construction takes place.

In this image the bars act as leading lines dragging the viewer through the image. The grimy texture of the bars emphasise the harsh realities of the process of construction. The water drop disrupts the vanishing point of the leading lines and shows the non-linear process of construction as many setbacks are faced.

I chose this photo as I think the hash steel lines integrate with each other to create captivating geometric shapes. The dark and moody atmosphere created by the blackness of the steel and the dark grey and stormy sky. The lines meet roughly on the third line intersect creating a focal point of the image and drawing the views eyes to a specific point.

To take this image I took my camera and pointed it up along an iron bar. This allowed me to capture the interesting shapes and lines created by the bars. The reflection in the main bar alongside the marks and imperfections of the bar create and interest to the image allowing the viewer to focus on something in the foreground.

I have chosen this photo as by shooting from a low angle I was able to make the building look overpowering which emphasises the brutalist style of the construction. This shows the viewer the harsh realities of constructing a building. The water drops on the lens break up these leading lines disturbing the journey of the image and suggesting the breaks in the process of construction.

I chose this image as I think that by taking a photo of a section of the building the viewer is able to create their own finished construction. By placing the major bars on the third lines I was able to emphasise certain aspects of the construction showing the prominent lines. The branches of the trees create a slightly eerier atmosphere adding to the harsh and colourless environment.

I chose this image as I think the harsh and monochromatic tones of the construction create a strong composition to the image. The lines of bars cross each other to create an array of geometric shapes which break up the image, showing the backbone to building construction.

I chose this image as it shows the whole picture of the construction, allowing the viewer to understand how the previous sections of the image link together. The lower perspective that I shot this image at allows the building to appear more overbearing and powerful. Suggesting a brutal and harsh construction.
