This photoshoot focused on process of construction and how buildings come down to their raw and harsh structures. My aim was to capture the method taken when building as well as the skeleton of a building.
I like this image as I think it captures the skeleton and bones of a structure. I like how shooting the image upwards allow me to catch the reflections of the structure as well as creating interesting geometric shapes. The harsh and brutal leading lines in this image enabled me to draw the viewer through the image.
However, I think that this edit is not as effective as it could have been, as I think by adding these bright colours and creating a pop art effect, I in turn removed the simplicity and brutality of the structures. This meant that some of the beautiful details of the structure were lost in the edit as they were forced to fight against the colours, rather than the edit working with the structure. For my next photo shoot, I would like to stick to simpler edits that convey my narrative without taking away from the original image.
