For this edit I also on the developer fluid in the dark room to focus the image on the train tracks. I did this to add interest to the photo and to create a washed out and eerie atmosphere.
In this image I again edited it to be monochromatic as well as adjusting the highlights and shadows. I did this to take out the noise in the photo and add a harsh and industrial tone.
For this edit I did a simple crop to focus the viewer on the building. I did this to control the narrative of the image and take out the surrounding distractions.
For this edit I took the cropped version of the image and changed it into black and white. It did this to create a harsh and sinister feeling to the image. The contrast between the lighter tones of the cloud behind it and the dark black if the building helps to draw the viewer attention to the building.
For this edit I went in to the dark-room and exposed my image for 9 seconds. I the painted and splashed on the developer fluid in order to focus the image on the vanishing point. I did this to create an interesting narrative and a softer image.
For this image I simply turned the photo black and white to create a harsher image. I did this to enhance the photos natural brutalist architecture.
In this experiment I layered 4 images that I took of a women walking across the bridge at different times and changed the opacity. I did this to create a ghost like atmosphere to the image and to add a moving focal point to the image.
For this experiment I took the previous edit and made it black and white to create a harsher image. I think this effect puts more focus on the shadows of the women walking as well as creating an eerie atmosphere.
