Photoshoot 02 - Using construction
For this photoshoot I focused on long exposure to add motion blur in my images.
Description is bellow the image. Click on image to see it full screen.

This image explores how humans can use the spaces around them. The use of long exposure to blur the subject emphasises to the viewer how they utilise the space that they're in. As nature and grass around the skate park there is an understanding of how human structures can live alongside nature. The graffiti in the background humanises the image and shows the personalization of the skate park.

To create this image, I used a slightly long exposure to blur the person on the skateboard. This emphasises the person using the construction around them. I chose this image as I think the graffiti along the skate park creates interest and draws the viewer through the image this further emphasises how humans use the spaces around them. The sharp lines and angles in this image a contrasted by the curves of the graffiti and the movement of the person allowing the construction to stand out.

The focus of this image is on the colourful post in the right hand side, this post has clearly been covered by stickers and graffiti showing how people personalise the spaces that they use. Moreover the person skateboarding in the background allows the viewer to connect with a human from the image. It also creates an interesting depth of field and allows the viewer to focus on more than one thing.

By using a low perspective when shooting this photo I was able to immerse the viewer into the image allowing them to feel as though they are travelling through the structure. The use of leading lines again acts as a way to immerse and guide the viewer through the image allowing them to feel as though they are part of it.

I chose this image as the curved shape of the rim of the skate park acts as a leading line to guide the viewer through the image. The darkness in the top of the image is contrasted by the bright almost apocalyptic skate park. The noisy silence is created by the lack of humans in the image however the everlasting impact of the human intervention can be seen by the graffiti.

In this image the focus is drawn to the colourful graffiti as it is in the foreground and stands out against the duller background colours. This graffiti conveys to the viewer how humans use the spaces around them and how they leave their mark on structures.

This image shows how man made structures can integrate into nature conveying to the viewer thought nature and society can become one. The green and the colour of the graffiti relates to the green in nature. The boy in the background is in focus highlighting the importance of human involvement in constructions and the way that humans interact with the spaces around them.

This image is a dynamic snapshot which shows the number of people that used the space. By the foreground and background both being a focal point the viewer is able to understand the intricacy of the structure and the way that it has been personalised by those that use it. The people in the background also remind the viewer how places and structures are used and not just looked at.

This image has a roundlike structure creating a curved and connected leading line to draw the viewer through the image. The harsh and brutalist structure created by the concrete and the industrial lighting creates a cool and eerie atmosphere. This is contrasted by the colourful graffiti which acts to show how humans use the constructions around them. The people in the background create a dynamic movement to the piece and add a sense of humanity.
