Photoshoot 01 - Long exposure
For this photoshoot I focused on long exposure to add motion blur in my images.
Description is bellow the image. Click on image to see it full screen.

In this photo I used a longer shutter speed to get motion blur in the people in the background. This creates a dream-like atmosphere to the photo and adds focus to the two people on the bench. I also chose to take this photo with Brighton and Hove Albion football bunting in the top corner to guide the viewer through the image and control the narrative of the photo. This photo links well into my theme as it shows two people integrated into the places around them.

In this photo I chose to focus my image on one person and use a longer shutter speed to blur the people in the background who were walking to get to trains. This left these people looking as though they are ghosts and leaving the image with a slightly eerie atmosphere. The incorporates well into my theme as it focuses on a single person and helps to show the story of them as interacting with the surrounding area.

In this photo I used long exposure to create the motion blur in the crowd to emphasise the chaos of the people in the city. This image is lighter in tone and has a more dream like atmosphere. Again, this photo links into my theme as it shows people interacting with other people and there surrounding.

This image is of a bus stretched and blurred along a road with people’s legs blurred like ghosts layered with the car. In this photo I used a longer shutter speed to stretch the car and to merge the people into the bus. I partially like this photo as the blurred people in the image create an unusual quality. This photo is a reflection of my theme as it perfectly presents people integrating in their surroundings.

In this image I also used a longer shutter speed. I particularly like this image as I like the contrast between the blurred bright lights of the car and the dark surroundings. I chose to place the road in the middle of the image to create a sense of the cars vanishing. This photo is reflective of my theme as it is a human object integrated with the surroundings.

To create this photo, I also used a longer exposure allowing the bus to blur. I chose to take this photo with a bus as I like the yellow and red colourings of the bus. I took this photo at a time there was a car coming down the road to create a more interesting and well composed photo. This photo links to my theme via the bus as it is integrated with the surrounding area.

In this photo I again used long exposure to create slight motion blur in the image. This adds interest to the image and emphisises the sense of chaos created by the number of people. This photo reflects my theme “People and Places ” as it highlights people interacting with eachother as well as the world around them.

This photo is a snapshot of a scene outside a train station and showing police controlling crowds. To take this image I got on the floor and shot the photo closer to the ground. I did this to create a low angle perspective to add interest and guide the viewer through the image. This photo works particularly well as the lights from the station reflect of the damp ground creating interesting patterns to intrigue the viewer. This photo correlates to my theme due to the interesting architecture and the people interacting with the setting they are in.

This image is of police horses controlling an area of a busy city. For this image I used a slightly longer shutter speed to create a blur in the image which softens the previously harsh and angle image. This photo connects with my theme through the people interacting with the area surrounding them and the interesting tones created in street photography.
